Job Purpose
We are looking for a qualified, self-motivated individual to join the Boxwood Insurance Group team as a Commercial Account Manager. As part of our team, your primary role will be to provide quality service to clients by serving as the day-to-day liaison between the insurance company, agent, and clients. The Commercial Lines Account Manager will handle all inside service work associated with clients’ accounts, including coverage issues, endorsements, routine questions, problem-solving, renewals, and policy checking and binding. The role involves building and maintaining client relationships, providing accurate and timely communication, and ensuring clients are well-informed about coverage options. Additionally, some new business and renewal marketing work will be required as part of this role.
Tasks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Process and record new insurance policies and claims.
- Maintain client files in the Agency Management system and use it for all transactions.
- Correspond with insured or agent to obtain information or inform them of account status or changes.
- Assist in preparing proposals and applications, submitting them to insureds and carriers, and following up for timely responses.
- Provide technical service and expertise on commercial insurance accounts during the new business and renewal process
- Assist with quoting and gathering pertinent information from the client and/or carrier while acting as a liaison between the two Prepare proposals for renewal and new business presentations.
- Work with the client and producer to bind coverage with carriers, issue certificates, and request policy endorsements
- Analyze insureds policies for accuracy based on proposals presented to clients
- Follow step by step processes and outlined agency procedures during daily tasks
- Use multiple software applications that integrate together to provide timely service and superior customer experience to all clients
- Work with Senior Commercial Lines Account Executives with complex subject matter to gain additional experience and continued understanding of the insurance industry

Qualification
Education and Experience
Years of Experience: 3.5
Education: Professional Experience is valued highly. Degreed applicants preferred.
Licensed, Certificate, Or Registration: Property and Casualty Insurance License required.
Technology
- AMS360 preferred
- Microsoft Suite Proficiency
- Ability to learn quickly new software platforms utilized for customer service related activities.
