Job Purpose

We are looking for a qualified, self-motivated individual to join Boxwood Insurance Group as a Commercial Lines Account Manager. As part of our team, you with work with commercial carriers and business clients to determine their insurance needs. Our accounts range in size from small local businesses to large nationwide companies, we work to provide the best possible coverage at the very best value for our clients. This is a relationship-focused position, meaning that our ideal candidate must have superb communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to valid state licensure it is preferred to have experience in the insurance industry.

Tasks
  • Process and record new insurance policies and claims.
  • Correspond with insured or agent to obtain information or inform them of account status or changes.
  • Review and verify data, such as age, name, address, and principal sum and value of property on insurance applications and policies.
  • Compare information from application to criteria for policy reinstatement and approve reinstatement when criteria are met.
  • Examine letters from policyholders or agents, original insurance applications, and other company documents to determine if changes are needed and effects of changes.
  • Modify, update, and process existing policies and claims to reflect any change in beneficiary, amount of coverage, or type of insurance.
  • Interview clients and take their calls to provide customer service and obtain information on claims.
  • Provide technical service and expertise on commercial insurance accounts during the new business and renewal process Assist with quoting and gathering pertinent information from the client and/or carrier while acting as a liaison between the two Prepare proposals for renewal and new business presentations. Work with the client and producer to bind coverage with carriers, issue certificates, and request policy endorsements Analyze insureds policies for accuracy based on proposals presented to clients Follow step by step processes and outlined agency procedures during daily tasks Use multiple software applications that integrate together to provide timely service and superior customer experience to all clients Work with Senior Commercial Lines Account Executives with complex subject matter to gain additional experience and continued understanding of the insurance industry

Education and Experience

Education: High School/G.E.D.
Licensed, Certificate, Or Registration: Property and Casualty Insurance Licensed preferred
